• Variety of hand sewing needles (plastic/blunt needles – especially for 9-10 age range)

• Tacking thread (different colour than your fabric)

• Fabric (bring a piece of cotton fabric sized 50x50cm. For the rest of the course, wait for teacher’s instructions)

• Iron-on-hem tape

• Buttons

• Clipper (to cut threads)

• Sewing machine (not required for the first lesson)

• Standard sewing machine needles (size 11/80)

• Good quality sewing machine thread (same colours as for hand stitching)

• Optional (but useful) Item - Ruler: A clear, grid ruler for measuring and cutting straight lines.
