Jackie Micallef is a local visual artist with a background in painting and a growing practice in mosaic art. Over the past years, she has developed a deep interest in mosaics and fused glass, combining her understanding of colour, form, and texture to explore this timeless medium. Jackie brings a calm and thoughtful teaching style to her workshops, ensuring each child feels supported and inspired throughout the creative process.
Introduction to Mosaics – A fun and simple explanation of how mosaics are created.
Materials & Techniques – Learn about glass and ceramic tiles, adhesives, and the best surfaces for mosaics.
Creative Design & Tile Placement – Arrange iridescent and glossy tiles to create a colourful butterfly that shimmers.
Final Touches – Learn how to grout and finish the piece to make it shine!
