Jewellery Making Course for Beginners

€189.00

Unleash your creativity and develop essential skills in this beginner-friendly Jewellery Making Course. Over a series of 10 sessions, you’ll be introduced to the foundational techniques of jewellery design and creation. Whether you’re new to the craft or looking to strengthen your skills, this course will guide you through every step of the process, from basic design concepts to advanced metalworking.

The course will be taught by the exceptionally talented Gabriel Farrugia. A skilled artisan with a Bachelor of Arts in Jewellery Design from the renowned IED – Istituto Europeo di Design, Gabriel brings a wealth of expertise in sculpture, silverware, jewellery, and other artisanal creations. Gabriel’s mastery in design has earned him recognition for his latest work: the crown for the solemn coronation of Our Lady of Fatima in Guardamangia, Malta—a piece both designed and crafted by him.

Through hands-on projects, you'll explore different materials such as silver and brass, while learning to design, shape, and assemble your own custom jewellery pieces. Each lesson builds on the previous one, giving you practical experience and the confidence to take your creations to the next level.

What You'll Learn:

  • Introduction to Jewellery Making: Get familiar with essential tools, materials, and techniques that are fundamental to jewellery creation.

  • Design Principles: Learn how to plan your jewellery pieces, balancing aesthetics with functionality, and incorporating your personal style.

  • Metalworking Techniques: Develop key skills such as cutting, shaping, filing, and soldering to bring your jewellery designs to life.

  • Assembly and Finishing: Discover how to assemble and refine your pieces, paying attention to detail to achieve professional-quality results.

  • Working with Different Materials: Understand how to work with materials like silver and brass, and explore how they can be used to enhance your designs.

  • Create a Variety of Jewellery Pieces: Over the course, you’ll design and create a range of jewellery, including pendants, rings, earrings and bangles, applying the techniques you've learned in class.

By the end of the course, you’ll have completed several custom jewellery pieces and gained the foundational skills necessary to continue creating beautiful designs on your own.

No prior experience is needed! Whether you’re a total beginner or looking to refine your existing skills, our professional jeweller will guide you through every step. Course fee does not include materials and tools, therefore students will need to bring their own.
