Floral Drawing & Watercolour Painting Course is a 10-week, hands-on introduction to floral art using two complementary mediums — graphite pencils and watercolour paints.
Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll learn how to observe, sketch, and bring life to floral subjects. Each week builds on the last through structured exercises and achievable projects, taking you from basic drawing techniques to expressive watercolour washes and layered floral compositions.
No experience is needed — just curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a love for nature and colour.

Introduction to Drawing & Watercolour Tools – Get familiar with pencils, papers, brushes, and paints, plus how to prepare your workspace.
Graphite Techniques for Florals – Learn essential drawing skills including proportion, line quality, shading, and contrast specifically for flowers.
Observation & Composition – Develop your ability to observe floral forms and arrange them confidently on the page.
Watercolour Foundations – Discover washes, blending, wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques to bring colour to your floral work.
Colour Mixing & Tone – Understand how to mix naturalistic colours and build tonal value for depth and luminosity.
Layering & Details – Learn to layer transparent watercolour to create dimension, detail, and texture in petals and leaves.
Finishing & Feedback – Refine your pieces, add finishing touches, and participate in a supportive group critique.
This course is designed for beginners who have some basic drawing experience and would like to develop their skills further in drawing florals, and using graphite and watercolour.
Mode of Study: Once weekly (2 hours per lesson)
Duration: 10 Lessons
Requirements: Ages 16+, Students must bring their own art materials & tools
What’s Included: Hands-on teaching and individual guidance
Certification: Upon attendance of 80% of the course, students will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance
