If you’ve always wanted to create art using digital tools but didn’t know where to start, this beginner-friendly course is the perfect introduction. Led by professional artist and Art Academy teacher Naomi Mon Del, this 10-lesson course will guide you through the essential techniques and tools needed to develop your own digital artwork from the ground up.
Whether you're interested in illustration, character design, or developing your drawing and painting skills on a tablet, you’ll build a strong foundation in digital techniques using programs like Procreate, Photoshop, or Krita. No prior digital experience required.
What You’ll Learn:
Introduction to digital tools and how to use them effectively
Shading, basic shapes, and line drawing techniques
Perspective and foreshortening to create depth and realism
Basic human figure drawing and anatomy, including stylised distortion
How to digitally paint and apply textures
Techniques to avoid flat-looking digital artwork
Developing a final concept-based piece from start to finish
Course Details
Mode of Study: Once weekly (2 hours per lesson)
Duration: 10 lessons
Location: Art Academy Mosta (131 Constitution Street, Mosta, Malta)
What’s Included: Hands-on teaching, Powerpoint Presentations, Handouts, individual attention.
Requirements: Students will need to bring their own tablet or graphics tablet with laptop, including digital software such as Procreate, Krita, Photoshop or equivalent. Art Academy will providing charging points so bring your chargers along with you.
Certification: Upon attendance of 80% of the Course, students will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance.
Language: The course is taught in English
